[Little Tangles] Challenge #9 - Shaped Cards

Hiya. Just a quick post to let you all know that there is another Littles Tangles card. It's a week where Shaped Cards - so start pulling your dies, silhouette, cameo or good pair of scissors.

Mine is a super duper fast one, since I have guests currently visiting from Germany. So my craft room has turned into an actual guest room (the original purpose of the spare bedroom), and I am spending of course quality time with them.

Let's Celebrate
Stamps: (Party Dots) Neat & Tangled
Paper: (Paper Basics Card Stock - Dark Chocolate, Fine Linen; Stamper's Select Vellum) Papertrey Ink
Ink: (Versamark) Tsukineko
Embellishments: (Detailed Embossing Powder - Gold, Perfect Pearls - Gold) Ranger; (Sequins - Flat Matte Gold, Mermaid Tail Satin, Dark Chocolate) Neat & Tangled

I was quite in a shiny, gold drops kinda mood. And since my friend Inés' favorite color is aqua, I was inspired to pull out these sequins to play.

Let's Celebrate

The sentiment is stamped with Versamark on vellum and dusted with Perfect Pearls. I like how the rest of the shimmer adds a nice touch.

Hope it inspires. There is tons of other good stuff by the Design Team to stop by the other girl's creations. And in case you need more incentive to bust our your creative supplies...A free stamp set is at stake...

One lucky challenge winner is going to get two sets of goodies. So jealous...
A few helpful things to remember:

[Uniko Studio] Design Team Blog Hop - Background Builders Lattice Revisited

Hello everyone! We had a glorious sunny weekend - a good teaser to what spring would look like. Sadly the weather forecast is showing dropping temperatures for the rest of the week. I'm so bummed. On other glorious news fronts, I have friends visiting soon from Germany and it's going to be packed week and a half, but I'm super excited. We saw them over Christmas break, but it's never too soon to see far-away friends again! I take whatever I can get.

However, I'm here to revisit an older set from Uniko Studio. This week we're taking another spin at Background Builders Lattice.

I love this set. I took a bold color approach (craving spring to arrive!) and wanted to show you how backgrounds don't have to be in the background. It can also be bold & beautiful.

Birthday Party
Stamps: (Background Builder Lattice) Uniko Studio
Paper: (Paper Basics Card Stock - Smokey Shadow, Raspberry Fizz) Papertrey Ink
Ink: (Versamark) Tsukineko
Embellishments: (Stamp 'n Stuff Embossing Powder - Opaque White) Stampendous!; (House of Three - Soiree: Dimensional Stickers, Flags) Pink Paislee

I really found inspiration from the Soiree collection, where I remembered seeing gorgeous lattice in the patterns. And the yellow and pink are beautiful and bold colors that were perfect. That's how I decided to pull some Smokey Shadow card stock and  added some white embossing for the background. Isn't it stunning?

Birthday Party

Hope you feel inspired to get your crafting up and going again. Also remember that Uniko Studio is offering worldwide Free Shipping until March 11. Yep you read correctly - so hurry and get your orders in today!

And if I remember correctly, Bev is going to draw a winner to win this stamp set from among the blog hop, so remember to comment along the way. In the meantime, I'm sending you off to our last stop Stacey.

Here the whole list for easy navigation ...
I hope you like what you're seeing. Hope to see your creations soon!

[Little Tangles] Challenge #8 - Anything Goes

Hello there - so how did you make out on our last challenge? I saw some lovely creations and I can't wait to see what you'll do with this challenge. It's a week where Anything Goes - the sky's the limit so pull anything together that you feel inspired by.

While you figure out what you're going to pull from your stash, let me try to inspire you :) I finally got a few new Neat & Tangled stamps and couldn't wait to ink up my Party Dots and use my nifty little sequins.

Hello
Stamps: (Party Dots) Neat & Tangled
Paper: (Paper Basics Card Stock - White) Papertrey Ink
Ink: (Jenni Bowlin - No. 8 Soap Powder, No. 9 Spice Tin, No. 14 Speckled Egg) Ranger; (Ingrid Bolme Chalk Fluid Edger - Farmer Jeans) Prima
Embellishments: (Mister Huey - Mint Julep, Water Cooler, Shine) Studio Calico; (Impression Plate - Polka Dot Basics II) Papertrey Ink; (Sequins - Flat Matte Gold, Mermaid Tail Satin) Neat & Tangled; (Jolee's Boutique - Fish Bowls) Stickopotamus

I really love how Danielle has been stocking sequins in her shoppe. Hmmm delicious colors of all sorts. Of course I had to get my own set and now I have lots of fun sequins to play with.

The background panel is impressed with a circles plate and then I sprayed three sets of Mister Hueys: first in Mint Julep, then a little bit of Water Cooler for depth, and then a nice mist of Shine. Unfortunately the pictures don't pick up the Shine, but there is a lovely mist of of shininess - a little like magical mermaid mist or dreamy rain.

Hello

Then I rocked & rolled the stamp in three shades of blue / aqua, starting with the lightest color. I don't really have smooth transitions and I should probably be practicing more, but I kinda like the sketchy look on the main focal point. It fits the background with the misting.

Anyways, the rest was just adding glue to the right spots: fish & sequins onto the card and then voila! Don't the sequins add so much? Oh just lovely little dots of perfect embellishments. I love that the flat sequins are flat - perfect for the mail, don't you think?

Hope it inspires. There is tons of other good stuff by the Design Team to stop by the other girl's creations. And in case you need more incentive to bust our your creative supplies...A free stamp set is at stake...
